This study is to determine the effectiveness of a short-term book sharing intervention for Spanish-speaking families in the greater Nashville area.

All families will receive developmentally appropriate books for their child, up to $75 in cash payments, and assessments of their child’s language abilities at home with a bilingual therapist.

Families who are randomized to the intervention group will additionally receive 10 telehealth coaching sessions where they will be taught book sharing strategies to support their child’s language development.

• The child is between 15 and 30 months old.

• The child does not have a primary diagnosis that impacts language development (e.g.

   autism, down syndrome, cerebral palsy).

• The child has less than 250 words.
